2009 is the 60th Anniversary of the Ray Galton & Alan Simpson writing partnership that brought us the immortal Hancock, Steptoe and Son several hit films and three TV series of their own.
To celebrate this Radio 2 are broadcasting 4 x 30 minutes of their TV Comedy playhouse scripts but updated for 2009 and hopefully with a fistful of stars. The four episodes are:
Hancock's the Blood Donor , Impasse,
Don’t Dilly Dally on the Way
I Tell You It's Burt Reynolds and it is hoped will star the likes of Jack Dee, Richard Wilson, Geoffrey Palmer, Paul Whitehouse with June Whitfield to hopefully reprise her nurse role.
