The second series continues the story of Terry and Bob. Terry is still unsettled, for most of the time unemployed, and with no qualms whatsoever about living off the welfare state and Bob. His friend soon begins to think that his own life consists of work and wallpapering, and that women in general, Thelma in particular, are completely unreasonable. Unfortunately, despite all his years of experience, he still turns to Terry for advice. And as the latter's own marriage ended in disaster, he is totally unsuited to the job as counsellor. But this does not stop him from giving Bob the benefit of his views on women...
