Rob Lake (Max Beesley) joins the team in a city maternity unit as a cocky, idealistic young doctor, but within days he realises that his new boss, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Roger Hurley (Patrick Baladi) is bungling operations with alarming regularity. Rob is faced with the moral dilemma of whether to report Hurley's malpractice and challenge the most powerful institutions of medicine - or bite his tongue and place more patients at risk.
