The second, and final series, of HBO's acclaimed historical epic, Rome picks up at exactly the second the previous series finished. Caesar is dead, betrayed by those around him; Lucius Vorenus must deal with the death of his wife Niobe; Titus Pullo thinks he's found happiness and Octavian must find a way to stand up to Mark Anthony if he's going to take his place as Caesar's legal son.
The power struggle between Octavian and Mark Anthony forms the central story of Series 2, as the pair form allegiances, fall out, fight wars and more, all in pursuit of ultimate control over Rome and it's land. Weaved in-between this gigantic power clash is the continuing story of Vorenus and Pullo, the two best friends who always manage to find themselves in the middle of the action.
