Based on Stephen Fry's diary which he kept during filming of 'Stephen Fry and the Spectacled Bears' (a follow up to Paddington Bear - the Early Years), both filmed in 2001. Fry, with producer Nick Green, set up a charity, The Bear Rescue Foundation, the first expedition rescued a bear called Yogi and installed him in a sanctuary in the grounds of the Macchu Picchu Hotel. the second trip involved finding a mate for Yogi in the hope of breeding cubs.
