This lovely wibbly wobbly paper weight is based on the Gallifreyan sphere on top of The Staff of Rassilon. The same object was also used for an ink well in the same episode which can be seen on the table used for the Time Lords council. The original prop was made by Nick Robatto, and recently Nick created very similar objects which are featured on the new Tardis console.
We have recreated it here but have made it slightly larger and given it a little more detail. The sphere is weighted at the bottom so it will wibble and wobble pleasingly (but not roll unless you give it a really good shove!) before coming to rest.
A brass version is also available, a bronze version will be available soon!
The sphere comes packed in its own Doctor Who themed gift box.
Sphere's diameter is 80mm.
This is not a toy. Not suitable for children.
Made from polyurethane resin filled with aluminium powder.
Please note all our items are handmade and as a result some slight variations in tone and colour may occur.
Your sphere will naturally tarnish a little over time; we think this gives it a nice patina but if you prefer it shiny then gently buff it with a piece of 0000 grade wire wool to bring back its former lustre.
