The Blue Planet was the first ever comprehensive series on the natural history of the world's oceans. Narrated by David Attenborough, the extraordinary programme revealed the sea at it's most fearsome and alluring, exposing some of it's best kept secrets.
The series was accompanied by a superb soundtrack from award winning composer George Fenton whose previous work has included feature films on both sides of the Atlantic. His film scores have been nominated for five Oscars: Gandhi, Dangerous Liaisons, Cry Freedom (Best Song and Best Score) and the Fisher King. He has received Golden Globe nominations as well as BAFTA and Ivor Novello awards and nominations for work on Television including The Trials of Life, Life In The Freezer, Beyond The Clouds and Shanghai Vice.
Fenton won both BAFTA and Ivor Novello awards and an Emmy for "Best Original TV Music" for his score to The Blue Planet.
