One Man And His Dog first appeared on our television screens in 1976 and achieved audiences of over 2 and a half million viewers. It was so successful that it ran for a further 29 years. Capturing the skills of the sheep dog and the amazing levels of communication between the dog and handler, One Man And His Dog illustrates beautifully the time-honoured traditions of sheep dog trialling.
