Andrew Crooks

A bit dissapointing, when the presenter got on the subject it was good but about half the time they tried to create mysteries about stuff they clearly already knew which gave the series the air of talking down to the audience. The half hour they spent on the absurd and racist chinese belief that they evolved seperately is the best example of this. They should have gone straight to the genetic evidence and moved on. There were time that the show felt more like an episode of surviver as Dr Roberts - in the snow, on a raft, sleeping outdoors in Africa with nothing but a torch and a BBC film crew to keep her safe - presented us with some of the challenges our forebears faced.Too much (of the extremely attractive) Dr Roberts and not enough experts and science for me. However overall worth a watch. In short I'm glad I brought it but it could have been a lot better.
