This sonic screwdriver is great. It works as a regular pen and you can switch the ink nib and write with invisible ink as well. It did take me a while to figure out how to get to the battery compartment but I managed to do it. Once the batteries where in I tested it out right away and it works great. When you press the button the UV light comes on and it makes noise just like on the show. This works a bit differently than the judoon scanner which has the same features. On the judoon scanner the UV light will only stay on for a few seconds then turn off. With the sonic screwdriver the UV light will stay on as long as you press the button.
