I have found this guide to be excellent, in that it has helped me to enjoy and have confidence in making decisions as to where,when and how to go to places that I would not have thought possible prior to becoming an independent traveller in Thailand these past twelve months. There is a new guesthouse 'Funky Monkey"opened February in Chiang Mai! I stayed there in February and have returned in November! You are made to feel so welcome by David and Nuy! The accommodation is exceptionally clean and comfortable-very spacious! There is a good choice of mouthwatering Thai and Western foods on the menu-very reasonable prices! Many of the guests have returned to Funky Monkey and recommended it to their family and friends as I have!David has a good knowledge both of the local and wider areas of places to visit and is very helpful giving advice on where to go whether typical tourist destinations or places off the beaten track! David and Nuy share their love and understanding of the Thai culture! I have travelled in many areas of Thailand now and have found the Funky Monkey guesthouse to be the best by far and it certainly deserves to be in the Lonely Planet book to enable other travellers to enjoy the experience I have!! The price is from 400baht! I have stayed in many different guesthouses and hotels and this far exceeds any accommodation I have ever stayed in!I have looked for a section in your guide that would enable me to send my recommendation to you, could you please advise me of the procedure to follow.
