So it is sooo dated!! So why is it simply one of the best thrillers ever put together by the BBC?? A combination of a superlative script, excellent acting and finale's that made you watch right to the final credits! A script that had so many twists you were never sure what would happen next and, more importantly, did not have you going out to make a cup of tea after 10 minutes having worked out what was going to happen. To most people under the age of 40, the IT equipment is so basic as to begger belief but in those days, it was truly state of the art. More importantly, the issues being discussed then are still key issues today!! This ranks with the likes of "Edge of Darkness" as fighting for the best TV thriller ever.Come on BBC - get your act together and find some great script writers who have imagination to create thrillers that are truly thrilling and, more importantly, are intelligent enough to keep people on the edge of their seats for weeks on end.
