This is just so fabulous, I first saw this when first out on BBC 2 some obscure late night slot!!! Loved it, and that green shot silk wrap, with the shot of Joanna Lumley coming down the stairs in the uber modern apartment is just delicious!!!
Amazing, plus the locations and actual design and total togetherness of it all, and the music, please get that on CD....please!!! When I saw JL was on JR show on about "Sensitive Skin", I thought that it was regarding a re-run, as very few I knew, knew about it! but the second series is low on par, to the first, classic line, "That's British Engineering for you", as said by Veron (Veronica), Davina's sister, epitomises the social structural changes in the UK, as one gets older, a pathos to all that is in the past, I think!! This is a great wee gem of a production.
When I received the DVD, I watched an episode every evening upon return from work, it was great. A truly wonderful if not, eclectic series, and Miss Lumley can only beMiss Lumley in this kind of pure quality drama. Also highly recommend "Uptown", another Hugo Blick masterpiece.
