Listening to Samples

Before purchasing a download, you can check your system is compatible by downloading a sample. You do not need to be registered at BBC Shop to listen to or view a sample. However, you will need Windows Media Player 10 or above. Download Windows Media Player 10 for free here.

If you find you cannot play the sample, please recheck the minimum system requirements.

The samples can sometimes be affected by the type of network you are using to access BBC Shop. For example, if you are accessing BBC Shop via a corporate network at work, the network might not allow the music/video stream to pass through to your computer. In this instance we advise that you check with your system administrator. Similarly, if you are having problems listening through a personal firewall installed on your modem or computer at home, you may have to adjust your settings. If you have Pop-Up Blockers activated on your browser - you will need to disable these. If you are on a slow connection, samples will take a long time to download or stream.
