I am out of superlatives - outstanding, stunning, colourful, fascinating, and generally immensely enjoyable travelogue/history lesson. Michael Wood's "The Story of India" is, I think, his best yet. It mirrored my own very personal visit there, (and our own DVD!) as I returned both in time and distance to the "British Raj" days of Simla, where I was born. I later had the pleasure of meeting Michael at a book-signing at Ely Cathedral. Top marks to everyone involved in this brilliant project. If it does not win a top award, I shall want to know why.
