As a young science undergraduate, this book gave me perspective, a sort of spiritual scientific compass. His idea that quantum uncertainty is inherently linked to the need for tolerance in science and society still blows me away. I have my dog eared copy to this day and recommend it to kids all the time. Beautiful chapters, A great thinker.
