Of course it is a lovely, enchanting visual treat totally addictive!!! however far removed it is from the character of Laura in the book and the insights into village life so beautifully and fully written in the original. Is it possible to ever get a good marriage of written and visual, perhaps this is a good series and most enjoyable, but the book!!! you could relate to the real Laura as if she was a real human, and her family very real in their life-experiences, it is perhaps just a little tempting to continually replay, revive and re-relish all that is magical in and about the english countryside.
