Intelligent, clever, dealing with important contemporary issues, this series makes us think. No one in the series is wholly good which makes it very credible. Even the "hero" John Deed has his weak points. Even his ex-wife George has weak moments when she tries to help him by warning signals. His father in law seems to develop a liking for this man who so exasperates him. It's like real life ... when can we buy the next DVDs ? have just finished Series 4, how will I survive till the next set comes out ?
