Portable Media Players

A Portable Media Player is a device which stores music and/or video on a hard drive or within an internal memory, rather than on CDs or cassettes.

They are designed to play digital music and video on the go and can store a huge amount of content, which can be quickly and easily transferred to the player directly from your PC.

Only .WMA and .WMV compatible devices will play files downloaded from BBC Shop. Look for the Microsoft ‘Plays for Sure’ Logo on your player, it’s box or the instruction manual. Other, non .WMA players such as the Apple iPod will not be able to play these files. For a list of compatible devices click here.
