I enjoyed the Jane Eyre version with Timothy Dalton but I enjoyed this version much more. I think Toby is a great actor with much passion but I was a little disappointed with Ruth Wilson's acting as Jane Eyre. I have read the book many times and I found Ruth's Jane unsuitable. In the novel, Jane is supposed to be pale and small. Ruth Wilson is not a small or pale woman. She is much too strong physically to resemble the 'Jane' in Jane Eyre. There is a 2011 version coming out soon. I can't wait to see how that one rates.
