I thought this series was excellent.I particularly enjoyed the first episode, showing various things, including the brilliant explosion, in super slow motion, capturing the otherwise invisible shockwave in its full glory and detail. However, this show was shown on BBCHD, and it was the super slow-mo in high definition which really gave the WOW factor.I'm disappointed to only see a DVD available for sale, which I won't be purchasing. However, if a bluray version comes out soon, I will purchase without hesitation. I loved the series, it was interesting, fun, and visually fantastic. But this show lends itself so well to high definition, I can't see the point in buying a set of standard def disks, of something I've already seen in HD.So come on Beeb, release this set in HD as well? If this is already in the pipeline (and I would hope that it is) then why can't you simultaneously release the DVD and Bluray versions... so that those people who missed it, or really want t o own a copy, don't get stung later when the bluray comes out AFTER they've purchased the DVD?You've managed it with other series. Dr Who, Top Gear Challenges, as well as other documentaries. So, a fantastic series, and I'd recommend to anyone who hasn't already seen it, or doesn't yet have a High Definition setup.Richard Hammond's presenting style works well in this, and it's truly fascinating to see all those things you miss when the films are slowed down by 2,000 times, and also the macro world, and the world of Infra-Red and Ultra-Violet.Great series, made all the better in HD.(so hoping we get to buy it in HD soon too)
