Once considered to be the greatest geographical secret after the discovery of America the river Nile stretches north to south for four thousand miles passing through Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda and Rwanda. Travelling from sea to source and using the river for inspiration, Joanna will venture by boat, train, plane, car, donkey and camel along this natural marvel to film a contemporary account of the River Nile and its people.
